The University of Ljubljana (UL) is the ViroiDoc project coordinator.

The Chair of Genetics, Biotechnology, Statistics, and Plant Breeding at the UL Biotechnical Faculty (BF) brings expertise in plant genetic resources, plant–pathogen interactions, biotic stress responses, and advanced molecular and genomic approaches.

The team contributes to the characterization, conservation, and sustainable use of plant genetic diversity, as well as to the development of advanced diagnostics for identifying genomic variation in plant pathogens. Its expertise in modern plant breeding, including genome editing, supports the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for resilient agriculture.
