Prof. Dr. Nataša Štajner

Dr. Laura Elvira-González is a researcher at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in Strasbourg, France, specialising in plant-virus interactions and the mechanisms underlying natural tolerance to viral infections. Her scientific career has been devoted to studying plant viruses and their molecular impacts on hosts such as Arabidopsis thaliana, Nicotiana benthamiana, and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum).
Throughout her trajectory, she has supervised PhD candidates, Master’s students, and undergraduate researchers, all working on diverse aspects of plant virology and host-pathogen interactions. With the ViroiDoc project, she now brings her extensive expertise in virology to the study of viroids, aiming to shed new light on these unique infectious agents and their interactions with plant hosts.
